When is the Liverpool trophy parade 2025? Date, time, bus route as Reds squad celebrate victory

Liverpool have announced the details of their third bus parade in six years after the Reds secured their latest trophy by winning the Premier League with four matches to spare.

Around 750,000 people are said to have lined the streets of the city when the club marked their Champions League triumph in 2019, and huge crowds are certain to turn out again when Arne Slot and his players and staff follow suit.

Liverpool City Council extended the invite to club officials after the 5-1 thrashing of Tottenham on April 27, ensuring the 20-time champions won the league at Anfield for the first time since 1990.

When is the Liverpool trophy parade date?

The event will take place on Monday, May 26, a day after Liverpool’s final game of the season at home to Crystal Palace in the top flight.

What time is the Liverpool bus parade?

The trophy parade will start at 14:30 BST and is expected to take between three and five hours to complete.

Liverpool victory parade route

The parade will follow the same 15km route as the 2019 and 2022 parades, starting at Allerton Maze in the south of the city before travelling north on Queens Drive towards the Fiveways roundabout and on to the Rocket flyover.

From there, the route is:

Queens Drive
Mill Bank
West Derby Road
Islington
Leeds Street
The Strand

The parade will finish at Blundell Street.

Liverpool parade 2025 ‘unforgettable’

“A Liverpool victory parade is more than football,” said Liam Robinson, the leader of Liverpool City Council. “It’s a celebration of our city’s pride, passion and community spirit.

“A huge amount of work goes on behind the scenes in preparation for an event of this size and scale, and there has already been months of careful planning taking place.

“It’s set to be an unforgettable Bank Holiday weekend as we give the team the celebration they deserve.”

When did Liverpool win the title?

The Reds entered their game against Tottenham knowing they needed a point to match Manchester United’s record for English title wins.

There was an element of early doubt for Slot’s side when Dominic Solanke powered Tottenham into a 12th-minute lead, but Luis Diaz quickly restored parity four minutes later.

Aided by an error-strewn Tottenham display, Liverpool then took command as Alexis Mac Allister and Cody Gakpo goals gave them a 3-1 half-time lead.

Top scorer Mohamed Salah scored a trademark fourth to put the game beyond any doubt, with an own goal from Destiny Udogie completing the scoring.

Premier League title: Which trophies has Arne Slot won?

Slot succeeded ex-Netherlands manager Dick Advocaat at former club Feyenoord before the start of the 2021/22 season, leading them to third in the top flight and the inaugural Conference League final.

The 45-year-old, who is in his first season as a manager in England, won the Eredivisie by seven points ahead of PSV in 2022/23 and lifted the Dutch Cup the following season.

He won the Eredivisie Manager of the Year award in both of his campaigns in charge. Feyenoord finished seven points behind PSV in 2023/24, losing two of their 34 league games.

The Dutchman also won the second tier in his homeland as a midfielder for Zwolle in 2001/02 and 2011/12.
