Yamaha have confirmed that double World Superbikes champion Toprak Razgatlioglu is finally moving across to MotoGP in 2026 after signing a contract to ride for Pramac.
The Iwata squad announced on Tuesday that Razgatlioglu will join the satellite Yamaha team as a factory rider in the 2026 MotoGP season. But it is still unclear whether the 28-year-old’s contract is a one-year or a two-year deal amid varying reports about the length of the terms.
It is likely that Razgatlioglu has signed a multi-year Yamaha contract, with the reigning WSBK champion unlikely to instantly be on the pace in 2026 while adapting to Michelin tyres. Next term will be an adjustment period prior to the arrival of 850cc bikes and Pirelli tyres in 2027.
Now, after Yamaha confirmed the signing of Razgatlioglu ahead of his contract with BMW in World Superbikes ending, the question is who will be the Turkish ace’s teammate at Pramac. Miguel Oliveira, despite having a 2026 contract, and Jack Miller both have uncertain futures.
Enea Bastianini is ‘about to’ terminate his KTM Tech3 contract to join Toprak Razgatlioglu at Pramac Yamaha
Yamaha handed Oliveira a two-year works contract and Miller a one-year factory deal to join Pramac in 2025. But they both could be booted out next term as Pramac can release Oliveira if he is the worst Yamaha rider in the 2025 standings by this summer, which he currently is.
Also, MOW now reports that while Yamaha may keep whoever is higher in the standings out of Oliveira and Miller during the summer break, neither is guaranteed to stay at Pramac next year. Instead, Enea Bastianini could take their place and be Razgatlioglu’s Pramac teammate.

Rumours are now growing in the MotoGP paddock that Bastianini is ‘about to’ terminate his factory contract for KTM to ride for Tech3 and join the Yamaha stable. KTM gave Bastianini a two-year, £4m contract to join their satellite team, Tech3, in 2025 after Ducati released him.
There are also whispers in the paddock that Yamaha could release Alex Rins from his works 2026 contract, which would open a door for Oliveira, Miller or Bastianini in the factory fold. Razgatlioglu cannot join the factory Yamaha ranks due to his personal Red Bull sponsorship.
Enea Bastianini could match Jack Miller and help Yamaha develop their 2027 rules bike

Bastianini is desperate to leave KTM Tech3 after just eight rounds, as the 27-year-old cannot adapt to the RC16 after racing Ducati bikes exclusively since his MotoGP debut back in 2021. The Italian is the lowest KTM rider in the standings with 35 points, the same as Brad Binder.

Despite his plight on the KTM this term, Aprilia and Pramac are both interested in Bastianini after seeing him score seven Grand Prix wins, 18 podiums and two pole positions on Ducatis over the past four years. So, he could even offer Yamaha what Miller has provided this term.
Miller could replace Rins in the factory Yamaha team in 2026, as the Iwata outfit appreciate the Australian’s role in helping to develop the YZR-M1 with his experience of racing Honda, Ducati and KTM bikes. Now, Bastianini might join the party as Yamaha build their 2027 bike.
