Terence Crawford Confidently Picks Sebastian Fundora To Defeat Tim Tszyu In Upcoming July 19th Rematch

Terence Crawford is picking WBC junior middleweight champion Sebastian Fundora to defeat Tim Tszyu in their rematch in 46 days on July 19th at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas. Crawford sounded dead certain that Fundora (22-1-1, 14 KOs) will be victorious against the former WBO 154-lb champion Tszyu (25-2, 18 KOs).

Fundora’s Dominant Style

Sebastian, 6’6″, was a nightmare for Tszyu last year on March 30th. He was hitting Tszyu with shots that he couldn’t block due to the looping angle and the sheer volume being thrown.

The uppercuts that Fundora was connecting with gave Tim a lot of trouble because he was eating them all night, and he couldn’t find a way to block those shots.

Many boxing fans agree with Crawford in his pick. They feel that Tszyu’s third-round knockout loss to IBF 154-lb champion Bakhram Murtazaliev on October 19th last year took something out of him. This wasn’t just a cut that Tim sustained in that defeat.

Tszyu was hurt in that loss and dropped four times before his corner mercifully threw in the towel. Murtazaliev knocked Tim down three times in round two and once in the third before the fight was stopped.

Crawford Picks Fundora

“Well, in boxing, anything is possible. Anything can happen. You don’t never want to make it seem like you know for sure,” said Terence Crawford to the media about the Sebastian Fundora vs. Tim Tszyu rematch on July 19th. “But Fundora is definitely the favorite, and he definitely is. Yeah, for sure,” said Terence when asked if he has Fundora as the favorite. “For sure,” said Crawford when asked if he’s picking Fundora to beat Tszyu.

Tszyu’s fourth-round knockout win over Joey Spencer in his last fight on April 6th proved nothing because he was fighting a low-level guy, and not one of the talented contenders that could have taken advantage of the damage that Murtazaliev had done to him.
