Will Chelsea qualify for the Champions League?
Chelsea needed to match Aston Villa’s win at home to Tottenham on Friday, which kicked off 45 minutes earlier, to stay above the Villans, who started the evening in sixth place.
The result moves them level on points with third-placed Newcastle ahead of a potentially crucial trip to Nottingham Forest in their final game of the campaign on May 25 (16:00 GMT).

The Red Devils could have been forgiven for being distracted by their Europa League final against Spurs in Bilbao on Wednesday (20:00), with the prize of Champions League qualification for the winners.
