Inter Milan begin their 2025 Club World Cup journey on Tuesday against Mexican side Monterrey at the iconic Rose Bowl in Pasadena.
After a brutal end to their 2024-25 campaign, which saw them lose the Scudetto to Napoli and get dismantled 5-0 by PSG in the Champions League final, the Nerazzurri are seeking a reset under new head coach Cristian Chivu.
Drawn in Group E alongside River Plate and Urawa Red Diamonds, Inter are among the favourites but will need to shake off recent scars to avoid an early exit.
Their opponents, Monterrey, are no strangers to this competition, having previously finished third in 2012 and 2019. This year, they arrive under new management, with former Barcelona assistant Domenec Torrent now at the helm.

Team news for Monterrey v Inter Milan
Inter have several absentees up front. Joaquin Correa and Marko Arnautovic have left the club, and Mehdi Taremi is stranded in Tehran due to international airspace closures. Piotr Zielinski is a doubt with a calf injury.
