Miami Grand Prix Recap
A sprint weekend, rain, and a LEGO car drivers parade, an eventful Miami Grand Prix last time out saw McLaren dominate, securing a one-two in both the sprint race and the race itself.
It was Lando Norris who, thanks to a perfectly timed pit stop, took the sprint race victory, with teammate Oscar Piastri coming home in second. Lewis Hamilton, in his Ferrari, took the last place on the podium. In the race, the McLaren drivers swapped positions, with Norris crossing the line second and Piastri taking the victory, finishing 37 seconds ahead of George Russell, who came home in third.
Max Verstappen had to settle for fourth, while Alex Albon secured a fifth place for Williams, and Ferrari managed seventh and eighth respectively. But perhaps the biggest part of the day was actually before the race even started, as all 20 drivers got behind the wheel of a driveable Lego car. In what saw all of them relive their childhood dreams, along with lots of LEGO debris left out on the track, it is safe to say that it was one of the most unique and enjoyable driver parades to date.
Emilia-Romagna Grand Prix Qualifying Preview
Heading into the weekend, it is McLaren who are still leading the way in both the drivers and constructors’ championships. With a car that is still much faster than the rest, it is hard to look past the team in Papaya once again throughout qualifying.
Throwing a spanner in the works was Kimi Antonelli of Mercedes in Miami by securing pole position in the sprint race, and after his race was ruined by an unlucky pit lane incident, the Italian driver will be looking to have another go this time out. A home race for Ferrari will also create some excitement at the circuit, with the fans hoping they can cheer their team on to a better qualifying performance.

Imola will be Lewis Hamilton’s first race experience of the Tifosi, and with the crowd backing their team until the end, could this be a strong weekend for Ferrari in their first of two home races to help relieve the pressure that is mounting on them?
Alpine
Following the Miami Grand Prix, the news came that Franco Colapinto will drive for Alpine in place of Jack Doohan. The Enstone team is definitely one to keep an eye on this weekend. Colapinto showed his skill behind the wheel of an F1 car last season, and many wondered why the Argentinian driver did not have a seat for this season.
Mercedes
After Kimi Antonelli secured pole position in the sprint race in Miami, all eyes will be on the young Mercedes driver in qualifying at Imola, especially with it being his home race.
