Chelsea are 90 minutes away from their first European final since winning the Champions League in 2021.

While the Conference League is nowhere near as illustrious as the top competition in continental club football, manager Enzo Maresca declared Chelsea will be “back” if they do win a tournament for which they have been favourites throughout.

Holding a 4-1 lead from the first leg of their semi-final with Djurgarden, Chelsea are expected to have little difficultly in progressing to the final in Wroclaw.

And, with their comfortable advantage, Maresca has shuffled his pack.

Chelsea team news

Marc Cucurella is the sole player to keep his player from the XI that beat Premier League champions Liverpool 3-1 last Sunday.

With one eye on Sunday’s crucial clash with Newcastle United in the race for the Champions League, Enzo Maresca has made 10 changes.

They include a first start for 16-year-old Reggie Walsh, who made his debut for the club off the bench in the first leg last week.

Chelsea: Jorgensen, Gusto, Adarabioyo, Badiashile, Cucurella, Acheampong, James, Dewsbury-Hall, Walsh, Sancho, George.

Substitutes: Sanchez, Bergstrom, Colwill, Chalobah, Antwi, Caicedo, Fernandez, Palmer, Madueke, Neto, Mheuka, Jackson.

Djurgarden team news

Djurgarden’s team features two changes from last Thursday’s heavy defeat.

Marcus Danielson, who struggled at centre-back in the first leg, drops to the bench, while right-back Adam Stahl is not available because of injury.

Viktor Bergh and Miro Tenho come in to Jani Honkavaara’s starting XI.

Djurgarden: Rinne, Kosugi, Tenho, Une, Bergh, Finndell, Stensson, Gulliksen, Priske, Haarala, Nguen.

Substitutes: Croon, Danielson, Alemayehu, Manneh, Selfven, Persson.
