Can lucky loser Gabriel Diallo build on his luck for one more round, and make the Madrid ATP 1000 quarterfinals?
He did a great job coming back to beat Cameron Norrie on Tuesday in a match delayed a day because of country-wide power outage in Spain. And he expended more energy than his opponent, Grigor Dimitrov.
The No. 15 seed only had to get from 5-4 in the second set and through a tiebreak to win his postponed match.
The two have never met before.
All the men’s matches on Wednesday are hugely watchable.
(Madrid is six hours ahead of EDT).
