Toprak Razgatlioglu is set to arrive in MotoGP in 2026, with rumours suggesting that he will join Pramac Yamaha.
The Turkish rider has been linked with a move to MotoGP from World Superbikes in 2025. It was believed that he would make the switch in 2027, in time for the new regulations as Pirelli become the premier class’ tyre supplier.
However, he could come to the sport a year early, as reports suggest Razgatlioglu has signed a deal with Pramac Yamaha for 2026. The Japanese manufacturer seem to have fought off their rivals Honda, who were also pursuing his signature.
The 28-year-old has now put one of Pramac’s current riders at risk of dropping off the grid. Jack Miller has a one-year contract, while Miguel Oliveira has a two-year factory deal with Yamaha.
Despite this, neither rider is safe for 2026. Pramac are set to decide their rider line-up in the summer as they assess who out of Miller or Oliveira will keep their seat alongside Razgatlioglu.
Miguel Oliveira says Toprak Razgatlioglu is a ‘great asset’ for MotoGP amid Pramac Yamaha rumours
With Miller’s one-year deal, the Aussie seems the most likely to lose his seat at Pramac, on paper anyway. Miller could fall victim to ‘politics’ and end up in WSBK, while Razgatlioglu takes his seat in MotoGP.
The 30-year-old’s experience has been invaluable for Yamaha behind the scenes and has been impressive on the YZR-M1, despite numerous retirements. Miller may be receiving ‘protection’ from Carlos Ezpeleta, as the Dorna CEO wants to keep an Australian rider on the grid.
Pramac are assessing their options for 2026, putting Miller’s teammate at risk of being dropped. Oliveira is not meeting the performance clause in his contract, mainly due to injuries, which Yamaha could activate if he cannot improve his results.
Despite the prospect of Razgatlioglu replacing him, Oliveira had a surprise verdict on the Turkish rider’s arrival in MotoGP. Speaking to Todo Circuito, the Portuguese rider says he would be a ‘great asset’ for MotoGP.
“I think Toprak is a great asset for MotoGP,” he said. “It would be something exciting to see, for sure. And he’s welcome in MotoGP. He brings something different, perhaps, and I’m curious to see how he adapts to the bike,” he added.

What Jack Miller and Miguel Oliveira must do to keep their Pramac seats in 2026
With Razgatlioglu’s deal with Pramac seemingly signed, it is now a shootout between Miller and Oliveira for the second seat in 2026.
Miller must beat Oliveira in 2025 and ensure that he is the lowest-ranked Yamaha rider come the end of the season. As these stand, that is the case, although the Portuguese rider has only competed in three Grand Prix this season.
With Fabio Quartararo performing on another level at Yamaha in 2025, Miller will need a helping hand for his teammate Alex Rins. He needs the Spaniard to stay ahead of Oliveira for Yamaha to trigger the performance clause.
The Aussie is determined to keep himself on the MotoGP grid in 2026. Neil Hodgson has ‘never seen’ a performance clause in a contract before; it could be what saves Miller’s career as Oliveira faces pressure to perform.
