The Aragon Grand Prix has been one of the more modern fixtures of the MotoGP calendar, having joined back in 2010.

Taking place at Motorland Aragon, it is the sixth different circuit in Spain that has been used for MotoGP races, showing just how popular the series is in the country.

There have been some classic moments over the years at Aragon, and it has produced some thrilling races between some of the top-class riders.

Since it was held in 2010, there has been one successful winner over the years at the 17-corner circuit.

Marc Marquez is the most successful rider in the Aragon Grand Prix

Marc Marquez is the most successful rider at Aragon, having won the race six times since he first took part in the Grand Prix in 2013.

His first victory at the track came that season when he won his first title, although he would wait another three years before winning the race again in 2016.

That set off a four-race win streak for Marquez, who took subsequent victories in 2017, 2018, and 2019 before winning again in 2024.

There has only been three repeat winners of the Aragon Grand Prix

Out of all the winners of the Aragon Grand Prix, there have only been three repeat winners of the race, including Casey Stoner and Jorge Lorenzo.

Lorenzo won the race in 2014 and 2015 back-to-back, while Stoner won the first two races in 2010 and 2011, the second of which put him on his way to his second title.

Wins Rider Years
6 wins Marc Marquez 2013, 2016, 2017, 2018, 2019, 2024
2 wins Casey Stoner 2010, 2011
2 wins Jorge Lorenzo 2014, 2015
1 win Alex Rins 2020
1 win Francesco Bagnaia 2021
1 win Enea Bastianini 2022

Other than Marquez, Stoner, and Lorenzo, there has only been three other winners. Those are Alex Rins, Francesco Bagnaia, and Enea Bastianini.

The race was not held in 2023 after it was bumped off the calendar in favour of new races, including the Finnish Grand Prix at the Kymi Ring before it was taken off due to safety concerns of the 2022 Russian Invasion of Ukraine.
