Toprak Razgatlioglu seems close to finally confirming his switch from the World Superbike Championship to MotoGP for 2026.
The Turkish rider currently sits second in WSBK and has finished second or better in each of his last six races. Razgatlioglu has been heavily linked as a potential option for Pramac, but it’s hard to believe what will happen until anything has been announced.
It’s not the first time he has been linked with a switch to MotoGP, and fans are used to hearing rumours of what may be year on year. However, he’s not getting any younger and would be 29 years old at the start of next season. If it’s ever going to happen, it needs to be soon.
Razgatlioglu may have a Fabio Quartararo clause with Pramac which would entitle him to the same bike as the factory rider if he signs with them. That would ensure that he’s on equal ground with the Frenchman and the best resources available.
There’s ‘no chance’ Razgatlioglu could be worse than one MotoGP rider. Somkiat Chantra has been way off the pace for LCR all season, and his teammate has been on the podium multiple times. Razgatlioglu is an example of talent that deserves to be on the grid.

Jack Miller could be a victim of MotoGP ‘politics’ if Toprak Razgatlioglu joins Pramac
Pramac are yet to confirm whether either of their two MotoGP riders will be retained for the 2026 season, with neither having stood out too much so far during the current campaign.
It may be because he has been around for more races, but Jack Miller has shown glimpses at some races and has been worthy of a ride. His teammate Miguel Oliveira has missed too many races through injury to be properly assessed.
Journalist Simon Patterson believes that it may be Miller who loses his ride for 2026, despite performing well in stages.
“The only real issue I have with the whole thing is that it’s probably going to come at the expense of Jack Miller,” he said. “I don’t believe that Jack Miller deserves to be booted out of MotoGP right now, based on the performances he has delivered.
“This is by far a stronger Jack than we saw at KTM, this is a Jack that I would argue is as capable as the Jack Miller that was riding a factory Ducati a few years ago. He’s at least at the minute, able to match a teammate who everyone knows is very very special.
“Fabio Quartararo is operating on a different level from the other Yamaha’s most of the time and the fact that Jack is touching that, really really drives home what a good job he is doing at the minute. It’s going to be a shame if he ends up on a superbike ride because, essentially, politics.”
How Jack Miller was saved by Pramac for the 2025 MotoGP season
After a dire time with KTM, Miller was left facing a future without MotoGP in it at the end of 2024. The factory operation hadn’t been kind to him and he finished 14th in the riders’ standings last year.
Then came his saviour, as Pramac offered him a lifeline with a one-year deal, giving him the chance to race on and prove his credentials once more. Miller credits Pramac who ‘saved’ his MotoGP career.
Miller ‘messed up’ for Pramac at Le Mans, letting a prime opportunity to win in mixed conditions slip through his grasp.
But other than that, he has shown electric pace at times. Factory rider Fabio Quartararo has been amazing, and Miller has been the only Yamaha rider even remotely close to him. He probably deserves to remain in MotoGP.
