Toprak Razgatlioglu is finally set to move from World Superbikes to MotoGP in 2026, with the BMW rider having now signed his contract with Yamaha to race for Pramac.
The 28-year-old has been highly in-demand among teams in the premier class of prototype racing for a number of seasons. Razgatlioglu frequently rebuffed advances from the MotoGP field to stay in WSBK, however, as the Turkish star could not join a competitive factory team.
Yet Yamaha have now sealed his signature after fending off rival interest from Honda to fulfil Razgatlioglu’s dream move to MotoGP in the 2026 season once his contract at BMW lapses. He will ride for Pramac, but who he replaces in the satellite Yamaha squad is still undecided.
Honda met Razgatlioglu’s agent to discuss a move to MotoGP, which could have initially seen him stay in World Superbikes with the Japanese brand in 2026 to help develop their MotoGP bike for the 2027 regulations. Yet Razgatlioglu sought to make an earlier switch to the series.
Toprak Razgatlioglu will receive ‘identical equipment’ at Pramac to Fabio Quartararo at Yamaha in 2026
According to SPEEDWEEK, a source close to Razgatlioglu has also confirmed he has agreed a contract for Yamaha to join Pramac in the 2026 MotoGP season. It is also said that Yamaha will announce the signing of Razgatlioglu at Mugello prior to the Italian Grand Prix this June.
A vital factor in their negotiations to bring the two-time World Superbikes champion over to MotoGP next season was that Razgatlioglu will run ‘identical equipment’ at Pramac to Fabio Quartararo and Alex Rins in Yamaha’s factory rider line-up. He will not get a B-spec machine.

Yamaha have not yet decided who the Alanya native will replace at Pramac, though, as Jack Miller is out of contract after the 2025 season. Miguel Oliveira must hit performance-based clauses in his Yamaha contract to trigger an extension in his deal to stay at Pramac in 2026.
Fabio Quartararo’s pole positions at Jerez, Le Mans and Silverstone show Toprak Razgatlioglu what is possible

Yamaha will decide Miller and Oliveira’s futures by this summer, as the Iwata natives want to allow the latter every chance to prove he deserves to enter the second season of his factory contract. Oliveira had to miss four of the first seven rounds of the 2025 season due to injury.

Miller has also only shown flashes of speed since joining Pramac on a factory Yamaha deal in 2025. The Australian started the year strongly and came fifth in the Americas Grand Prix, but his form fell away before having a bounce-back performance at the British Grand Prix for P7.
Miller also qualified sixth for the British GP, as Quartararo scored pole at Silverstone to earn his third pole position in as many rounds. The Frenchman is proving the potential of the M1 this term with pole at Jerez, Le Mans and Silverstone to show Razgatlioglu what is on offer.
