The 2025 PGA Championship finally begins Thursday morning with the opening round at Quail Hollow. Here’s everything you need to know to watch the tournament on Thursday, including full PGA Championship TV coverage, streaming info and Round 1 tee times.
How to watch PGA Championship on Thursday
Heading into the first round of the PGA Championship, Rory McIlroy is likely striking fear into his opponents hearts. The World No. 2 ended a decade-long major drought in April by winning the 2025 Masters.
That win rose McIlory’s career major total to five. The question now is this: with his major drought over, is McIlroy about to put together a string of major wins? The signs are good for this week, at least, with McIlroy having won four times at host course Quail Hollow.
But World No. 1 Scottie Scheffler, two-time PGA winner Justin Thomas, defending champion Xander Schauffele, LIV star Bryson DeChambeau and plenty of other stars will do everything they can to stop him. And the action all gets started on Thursday.
You can watch the first round of the PGA Championship on TV via ESPN, which will air coverage beginning at 12 p.m. ET on Thursday. ESPN+ will provide exclusive early coverage and featured group streaming coverage starting at 7 a.m. ET. Additionally, ESPN2 will offer an alternative Round 1 telecast.
